Company History

Automation Equipment Company, Inc. began the journey into the Industrial Control arena back in 1967 as a manufacturers representative. In 1972, the founders of the company, Gil and Martha Murphy, decided to transition the company from a rep organization to that of an industrial control distributor. There have been many changes in this arena since then and we have all learned that adaptation was the key to survival. Brian Korotka who joined the company back in 1982 was promoted to the position of President in September of 1998. Since his promotion, we have watched the manufacturing sector go through many down sizing steps. With the loss of R&D Engineers in key positions to upgrade manufacturing processes and increased product throughput, we made a conscious choice to go out and offer to fill those lost positions for our customers. In short, we have become the engineering department you might need. We no longer just focus on giving advise as a High Tech distributor, or just supplying high tech components to solve even the most complex problems, we are now your source for a complete Turn-Key solution. Having all the Parker Hannifin divisions at our disposal, we pooled our resources together and partnered up with a software development house "PexIt" (link to them at www.pexitinc.com and ask for Alex Lee), a machine building house "Dynapace" (link to them at www.dynapace.com and ask for James Struck), and an electrical / mechanical installer "Schwan Electric" (link to them at w.schwanelectric@sbcglobal.net). It would be or pleasure to become your engineering department to design , build, and commission solutions to meet your manufacturing processing. Also, when you contact us, and if you have safety issues that need to be addressed as well, please ask us about our "Risk Assessment" program. Pick up that phone today and give us a call. We look forward to servicing yours needs.
